Tireeeeeeeeeeeeeddddddddddddddddddddd yeah

Did some research on my deficiency problem and found out I will either need to take strong vitamin B pills or give myself Vitamin B shots for the rest of my life. This is a kind of anemia...Or I have Crohns Disease. I guess that is probably the part my doctor wants to talk to me about. I know she was going to give me something to start taking at home...Not happy. This can cause serious nerve damage apparently if I don't work to fix the problem. And this all can cause depression so perhaps this is where mine stems from? I have been depressed since I was 13-14 but perhaps that is how long I have had this anemia...Who knows...

Also My friend responded back and said there will be no DDs. He said they just use the Taxi or walk home if they need to. I asked him if that's what he did last year since his invitation implies he got smashed. I got no answer. I can't afford a taxi, I don't live walking distance...And I can't drive his car because it's a stick shift. I have thought this through and I see no "smart" options. I cancel out on this friend a lot. This may be my "boy who cried wolf" moment since usually I have some lame excuse and this time It's a real legitimate reason. I'm also disappointed he allows his female friends to walk home alone drunk in Downtown Portland. I love my friends a hole lot and wouldn't even allow my male friends to do that. I'm kind of worried for his friends, I almost wish I had my car to drive them all home since he doesn't seem concerned. People do go missing, get raped, mugged...Beaten up :(

yeah i can understand your concern for his friends. Sadly he, or even they, aren\'t thinking about that. I would venture to guess that even though it is his birthday it isn\'t like this is rare occasion. It doesn\'t make it right, but they have gotten into a pattern and since nothing bad has happened yet, they don\'t think about it. Atleast they won\'t be driving. As for the anemia hopefully you won\'t have to have shots all the time. I can\'t stand needles myself and is one of the reasons i worry so much about becoming diabetic. So hopefully the vitamin pills will work. I Would imagine they have something strong enough in pill form though. I have another friend who has Crohns desease, so have seen that. Really it doesn\'t effect him to much, he went through several operations to try to fix it but it kept coming back in his case. He just can\'t eat spicey stuff, or drink or smoke. But other than that he can pretty much do what he wants. hope it goes okay at the appotinment

Ahh that sucks, about the vitimin defiency but always best to wait and see what the doctor has to say first, I will cross my fingers for you and I guess from every cloud there is a silver lining that it may make you feel better mentally as well as physically if you start treatment for it, will cross my fingers for that too. Oh and the singer from Glassjaw has Crohns and he leaps around a lot and tours the world... so hopefully it is a managable thing.
As for your friend and the party, if you don\'t feel comfortable going, don\'t, but maybe arrange something that you\'d both enjoy as an alternative and birthday celebration for him. I think you are right to be concerned about drivers, would your brother be able to pick you up if you did go?
It is hard, as a guy, I have been stuck in the middle of nowhere after seeing my friends home (but thankfully most are nice enough to realise that I need a floor or couch) but then I always feel safe on my own and do worry about my friends (perhaps overly so, but I\'d prefer to know they are safe and be overprotective than for them to be hurt). Sure you\'ll work something good out eventually.
Hugs for you.
