Tired so tired!!!

I have been soooo tired for just over a week now. I did not go to the last two nights of CI training for SAC. In the past when I got this tired & kept pushing I ended up in a MS attack. It is from having aggressive MS. So I am learning to take care of myself. Not to push too hard when I am tired. I have been napping during the day. Not over doing it. I spent most of last week staying in bed in the mornings. Tuesday I stayed in bed until 1:30 pm. I am going to try to stay awake for longer periods during the day.
I am doing good in physio. I am STANDING!!!!!!! The first time I stood for 10-30 sec's a few times. Last thurs I stood again 4 times each time for about 1 min. I was very sore the next day. It was not my legs that was sore it my sides that hurt. But once I was moving the pain subsided some. The next day it was gone. It was just the same pain everyone gets from doing something you are not used to doing. I talked to the physio the next day & it was decided I need to cut back a bit. Not to stand quit so long. I want to work up to doing a couple of pivot transfers soon. So I can get up when I want to.
I got some good news about Bruce. He saw his lung & heart doc's last week. The lung doc is going to "tap" his lung may 7. They are going to stick a needle in & take the fluid off of his lung. When he saw his heart doc they put him on another pill to help take off the fluid (edema) he puts on his belly & chest. He was able to take off 5 lbs in two days. He can breath easier. He can eat without putting preasure on his lungs. So now he is eating. He told me today he was starving. I think that is great. Now if I can get him to sleep & not push himself too hard. He wants to take care of me. He brings me in stuff that I need or want. He does my laundry. I can get it done here Bruce is afraid of them loosing some of my cloths. I have lost 3 nighties since I have been here. I think they have gone with the hospital laundry. If that happens you never see them again.

You know your body and when it says whoa!, get some rest before you have another flare. It\'s good that you know the signs and can turn things around before they get too far down the path.

I\'m so glad they were able to find something that will help Bruce to feel better and get his appetite back. Once they drain the fluid off his lung, he might feel like a new man. It should improve his energy levels so he feels better just have to make sure he doesn\'t over do things since he tends to do that any way.

Thanks for the good news!

Gentle hugs and joined at the heart, Linda
