time to reel it in.......

been giving pain and emotions a lotta slack on the line lately...(hence the super long wordy journals)
...time to reel it in and take it down a dozen notches..  a lot of the people i know here have various kinds of pain........physical, emotional, mental and spiritual challenges.
And along this path we also have many joys, blessings, gifts and goodness too.
I'm making dinner so this won't be a long entry........I journaled and slept the day away.  Making spaghetti sauce and angel hair pasta.  Not too bad, just two pots.......with leftovers to boot.  I like leftover spaghetti even better than first day spaghetti.  No clue why really.
The spasms are slowing down some........that is a big present.  Thank you for this mercy Lord.  I don't know what I did to set off the pain demons.......I promise I wasn't detasling corn, picking a bale of cotton, working in a warehouse loading trucks..........I wasn't moving furniture displays, lifting california king mattresses.............nope not me.
I wasn't preparing fields for crops......acting as a parking attendant for a wedding being attended by 500 guests.  I wasn't making a still for moonshine whiskey...wasn't trying to carry the earth on my shoulders........remember the pictures of Atlas holding up the world?  I wasn't moving pianos......nary a one.  I didn't ride any elephants.....climb up on a camel or attempt to separate teen-age cheetah's fighting in the bush.  I didn't run a foot race, jump on a trampoline..........did not set up a tent for a family of four.  I did some chores, little every day people chores.
That's all.  Wonder what the mri would show...........the changes in my spine as opposed to 2010.  It's a tie between wanting to know and not wanting to know.  What does it take to get a hoveround?  Are my walking days about over?  I don't know......makes me wish I'd dreamed bigger, done more, taken more risks.
We often take health for granted - think we're immortal, what is on your bucket list?
If you were faced with your top ten, what would you choose to do?
Love, hopeful girl with worn out limbs & spine

Bucket list...oh many but trying to check off those more \'attainable\' items. Sure, would love to take a cruise in the Mediterranean but costs too much, ya know? Glad your pain is down...mercy!

I grew up knowing spaghetti and elbow macaroni. When DH and I hooked up, he, being Italian, introduced the world of a pasta for every day of the week and month of the year, fusilli, rigatoni, fettucini, etc....I still love spaghetti first and also love it the next day, better. Love angel hair and capelletti,,,.. .everything ends with an \'i\' eh? Fav is what he makes which is so simple: olive oil, garlic, spices, what\'s in your frig, mushrooms, sauteed, then mixed with fettucini....pasta aleoli....delish.... check it out for your next italian feast! xxoo

Glad to hear your pain is less tonight. It must be awful to have all that pain, spasms & muscles all twisted up.
I have a recipe for Rigatoni. I love left over spaghetti. Heat it up in a frying pan with a little butter, yummy! We had tuna salad on a bed of lettuce & sliced tomatoes. It was good, but yours sound better. Hubby is trying to lose a few lbs. he does the cooking & has started making up a menu on the weekend for the following week. Then this way we know what to buy at the store.
All I did today was wash my hair & I\'m stinging from head to toe. I think someone played a cruel joke on me & I hate it!
Trying to catch up here with DS. It\'s aggravating not knowing who has written.
Sleep well. Prayers to all. Tomorrow we have allot of rain moving in from the tropical storm. Xoxo

Serce, I\'m so sorry to hear about your pain. Muscle spasms are a big problem for me - I know how painful they can be. My doctor has seen physical changes in my back from so many years of terrible spasms. I seem much worse in even slight changes in temperature in my living space. Have you noticed that. Being able to make adjustments in that has helped somewhat. If I\'d known I\'d end up this incapacitated, I definitely woulda\' had more fun! More trips, more roller skating, etc. Have to think of ways to live it up while I\'m sitting still!
