time for bed.

joy.
sometimes it comes when you least expect it.
at the end of a quiet day.  something small, but satisfying.
a moment when i smiled a real smile. a happy moment..........
and i thought about that.
when i go into the past i often feel depressed.
when i look into the future i often feel anxious.
when i stay in this moment.  this very moment..........it's o.k.
i feel light returning to my eyes.  i can do a moment.

my eyesight has improved dramatically in the last day..........very grateful.
i don't have it all together........no Christmas shopping done, none of the ingredients for some Christmas baking .............but I have this moment, this time........this day.
when I walk into my bedroom and see sweet green eyed Annie snoozing on top of a laundry basket.....a basket full to the brim. so full it should have toppled but somehow Annie managed to make it to the top of this soft blanketed mountain and feel satisfaction.
satisfied that she conquered one thing and then curled up in blissful sweet slumber.
she is so "in the moment"...........she is not worried about yesterday or tomorrow........God sends us these little winks to help us get through.
if you wake up in the night.....know that i have prayed specifically for you this night before i go to bed, for God to be with you if you have a restless night.......i am thinking of you and praying for you! to be able to relax, pray awhile, for sleep to claim you so that your body can get some much needed rest.
slowly i wait......trying to be patient for a little more energy.
rio is sitting on top of my chair patiently waiting to escort me to bed......sweet kitties,
i'm a very blessed sparrow

Wow...so beautiful, Serce. I\'m gonna cry now...knowing that you are praying for me. I have cried out to God so many times when others have failed me, hurt me, ignored me. I was just in the wrong place. My place is here on DS, and eventually here and more in the outside world. I\'m getting so much here that it is filling up the empty spaces in my heart. I do love God, I want to serve Him, and I want to arise triumphantly thru the battle of sickness and pain. But I didn\'t realize that I don\'t have to do it alone. \"That\'s what friends are for\" as the song says.

Goodnight, my friend. P.S. - I like cats also. Perhaps I will be able to get one at some point. My apartment doesn\'t allow any animals except for service animals.

Hi my dear friend, long time, huh?
I\'m finally getting some ME time. just a smidge.
Oh to be so in the moment like that. What a gift that would be. I like your positive attitude. How lovely! I don\'t have all that much accomplished for Christmas either, but thanks to you, I will focus on what I *do* have and this moment. What a good gift to share, as you are. I pray for a joyful holiday for you and a healthy & robust & vivacious 2014! xoxo

I know the joy you are speaking of. Something out of nowhere....just comes along in the midst of our sorrow and pain. It\'s a little miracle! Something that brings a smile to the face, a happy tear to the eyes, and indication that God is HERE and He knows that we are suffering.

I\'m always so thankful to hear people say they are praying for me. That is the singular most important thing anyone can ever do for me. I thank you for that. And I want you to know that I pray for you too, Ruthie! xo

Just to \"Be here Now \" , a lesson taught in many ancient sciptures ie Buddhism etc and one that never loses its important message to us.We just have to learn how to apply it each day and be more conscious of the reality of the moment. Thanks for reminding us Ruthie, I think you are a treasure trunk full of beautiful insights.Gifts to help us grow spiritually are definately the best.xoxo.

Thank you for your prayers Ruthie, sending some back your way. A moment of Joy, in the midst of pain is a blessing for all of us that suffer daily. Knowing others care & feel our pain & our tears is a biggie. Love you.

That was beautiful and exactly what I needed to read this anxious morning. You are a wonderful writer and I bet you didn\'t know this, but you\'re a Buddhist! It\'s all about being in the moment ;) (Don\'t worry, Buddha does not get jealous of Jesus. They tend to get along pretty well ;) )
