I didn't hear it rain.........but it happened. We need a new acronym or other acronyms to indicate laughter, chuckling, a smile.......woke up and started puttering like an absent minded professor. Only thing missing are the elbow patches on the sweater.
I go from room to room doing things one at a time and then go back and get item number two. Shake my head and keep going. I am aware that I am doing it and it is before noon. This indicates improvement. Wahoo.
Trying to find the positive, I have my own little mini race track. Ok, race is a bit too A. much of a tall tale B. white lie C. Texas fish story. You pick.......it's officially a turtle track.......place your bets with me to finish last......but ahem to always get there EVENTUALLY and you will add a little dough to your holiday fund.
Dreamt about designing men's shoes. Dark suede lace ups......in chocolate brown, charcoal gray.....there were other neutrals as well, but these seemed to be the two that drew the most oohs and ahs.......during my dream sequence shoe show. First time I've ever gone to Fashion Week in one of those big tents.....is it Bryant Park......why do I know that? Must have been one of the 8 million documentaries I've watched in the last couple of years. They were lovely man shoes.......is that an oxymoron?
The rain brought out the sniffles, that and me dusting I'm sure. Leave sleeping dust lie, but no I swiffered. I took care of a stain on the carpet this morning. I put some capture pre-mist on it and then because of sheer laziness used resolve powder to complete the job. You just scrub the resolve powder in and voila......stain gone!
I finished my book.......it's ok if you want to clap.......I noticed that I have a sizable pile of books that need to be boxed up and donated before the end of the year. It doesn't seem like I read that much until I see the stacks I have actually read. Thank you Lord for giving me so many days that I could enjoy reading.........something I so love to do.
Hey, have you seen that new app that helps you train your aging eyes so that reading glasses are no longer required? I saw it, I don't have a fancy phone, nothing that allows apps, but I did think it was interesting. Wondering how to get that same program via my computer so I can see if I can strengthen my eyes? Do app sellers do that or do they only sell to phone app buyers?
Yeah, I'm meandering......the nice lady is on her way here. I made it to the end of the driveway with my feet today. Wowee. Super, wanted to bounce a football on the end of the drive to signify the importance of this TOUCHDOWN! Had a slight stitch on the return trip, yup, sure did, thought wow, you are the caped crusader for super wimps everywhere.....head wimp that's me. all we can do is try a little bit every day within our abilities, try to maintain patience and perspective.......to be as present in the moment as possible. Noticed a lot of downed limbs.....speaking of noticing....last Friday two guys came and mowed the JUNGLE next door. It hasn't been mowed in FOREVER.....it looks so much BETTER. made me very happy to see the big tall craziness get tackled......appreciate the two guys who took it on, bet they ran into some snakes and other surprises.....mercy! So today there is a dark blue pick up truck in the drive......a couple is taking limbs off trees and dragging them into the truck bed. I wondered if I could hire them to remove a couple of limbs for me, so I called out a hello and they didn't respond. Then I tried again......a little louder......"Hello, could I speak to ya'll for a minute? I have a limb that needs to come down.......zero, zip, nada......maybe my voice is softer than I think, they did not respond. Then I kind of wondered if I have vaporized........I can see them, but they can't see me......crazy talk for reals, but sometimes I wonder......don't know if they work for the county or the city or what, but they are definitely not talkers......it did occur to me that they may be hearing impaired, that could be......now to get my brain ready to learn how to work this fancy schmancy air purifier with Leanne's help, wish I knew how to spell her name.......for all my grammatical errors and sloppiness, I still like to try to spell correctly.
Aging quietly on a Thursday......my hair got long again, yeeeeesh.
thanks for hanging with me for a little while, I think I'm feeling kind of lonesome today, maybe ya'll could drop in for snacks and something good to drink later.............we could bake goodies if you wanna. I'm on an upswing......my eyes are red and gritty, but I'm walking better. Sleep is still way off.....awake until early in the morning now.......but I woke up on my own at 10:30 and that pleased me to no end. A half hour before the alarm CLOCKS were set to wake me.
