thoughts and thinks.
Mornin'
I'm feeling better today. It is so nice.........I got up and took a shower right away. I really appreciate it when I can. When it's not such a struggle. It's so cool to rise and shine on days like today. On Monday and Tuesday I got up briefly and then struggled to move at all at noon and again at 2 pm. It was a shuffle board muddle.
I don't have pain in the bottom of my feet today...............ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. That is a nice big dollop of sweetness. Fibro pain is a tough row to hoe, but when it whaps the bottom of my feet I really struggle to walk. I'm not shivery or sweating.........happiness. I feel just right. Not today..........
The saddest thing about chronic illness? Being afraid to express how you feel each day. We know our health can suddenly come about and give us some smooth waters for a while and then just as suddenly go south on us.........take us down for the count. It's hard to share the story of life with illness because there is so much unpredictability. There is also this other thing..............that when we feel better it is not healthy human better, it is better in varying degrees...........we are not healed or cured, we just have parts of our bodies that are functioning better in the RIGHT NOW........and we want to express appreciation, but sometimes we are fearful, because it can all sound like a science fiction story........it can sound downright unbelievable.
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is not a good name for the biggest struggle of my chronic illness journey. Myalgic Encephalomyelitis sounds like the serious illness that it is. ME, myalgic encephalomyelitis is the right name for this mess, but CFS is the more readily recognized term in the US. In my opinion the term chronic fatigue is too confusing and simplistic. By a million miles ...........it would be like saying that terrible burns are just chronic redness. Education is key.
It does seem like today is a good day to now park serious talk, to seek some loveliness.......to spend the day floating because I can enjoy it today. I feel good enough to put on lotion, to write a grocery list, to listen to music........to hang out and putter comfortably. It is a blessing. My eyes are red and gritty......never thought I would grow up to have eyes like angry bull........smiling though.....i feel very content.
I have a random question. When Adele sings about "rolling in the deep" what does that mean? I can take it if it is something very obvious and I am a stupid schlump.........I just want to know. lol, have a great day!
