Thoughtful and good

I was in the chapel this morning 

It was still dark out and I was the first to arrive.

I was thinking about how, from the stories I have heard about the other monastics, that this is a place where broken people come for a consoling and focused life.

As services began I thought about the relationships between the monastics with the priests, abbess and the bishops and higher ups. For people who don’t have access to loving and supporting relationships, these ecclesiastical pillars are foci to put faith in and to draw great comfort from, love and caring. 

I am seeing the light for the love that is here and the patience that we each have for each other. There’s a kind of tentative, cautious delicate boundary of respect and care between us. It’s nice.

This is just another aspect of my journey here.

Things are good. Thoughtful and good.
