i love thomas merton enough to attempt your link, but . . . ya know, ya know on my hearing issues. . . i wasn't able to benefit from the attempt.

My Dear Uncle Louis was a Jesuit Monk, scholar educated in Rome...he knew Thomas Merton.
When the Church changed in the late 60's he left the order.
