This week.
It was my birthday on Monday, but in trying to get ready I found my feet so swollen the only shoes I was able to wear were flip flops. Dan took me out to choose some presents bless his heart but I couldnt manage to walk very far before the swelling got so bad I couldn't get the shoes off as they'd cut into my feet. I was so breathless too and really beginning to feel the side affects of the heart failure now. All I can do at the moment is sleep, I'm asleep all day except for the few times I need to go to the bathroom. Dans really worried as I've woken up to find him stood over me watching me which has freaked me out a bit. I couldn't manage to get to the doctor's as I'm just too exhausted now. I have 2 other GPs looking after me now til august 13th when my wonderful doctor comes back. I'm dreadfully anaemic at the moment which isn't helping my tiredness but it's too dangerous for me to take iron as it'll destroy the tiny piece of small bowel that's left. The bowel surgeon has been in contact with my GP and said he's pushing through my abdomen and chest MRI as a matter of urgency and will see me as soon as the results are back but it may not be worth surgery to repair my bowel when my heart is so bad. Joyful news but at least they are honest. We just take it day by day now but it seems that one day just merges into another now. X

HAPPY, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, MY FELLOW LEO!!
I am so very sorry your suffering with swollen feet and pain. I've been there & done that and it is debilitating enough to do all kinds of lousy. It does go with your heart problems right? You have a lot going on and Dan sounds like he is the right person to have at your side. I've actually had an old 'friend' do the staring thing to me while I was in the hospital. I levitated 3 feet in the air, tubes, IVs and all! I can laugh at it now. You okay with it?
I am sending you peaceful and positive thoughts for your pain to subside. Take care.
hang in there
