Thirty Six Weeks
I am just back from a visit to my Neurologist. He has just recommended that I go on the drug Pramipexole Dihydrochloride, (generic for Miripex).
I just spent an hour reading about the drug and reading other peoples experience with it. Everything I read scares me to the point that I am seriously thinking thinking of not taking the new drug. It portends a end to the lifestyle we have adopted. For the past seven years we have led a nomadic life, traveling around the country in a 34 foot motor home. If this drug can lead to sudden sleep episodes without warning I will no longer be able to drive. We will be forced to sell the coach and move back into a house.
I have dreaded this moment ever since I was first diagnosed. Now I must deal with it.
