Thirty Four Weeks

I have been on Azilect for thirty four weeks now. I have an appointment with Dr. Habiger in just two weeks and I am anxious about where we go from here. My PD symptoms are still mild, but they are definitely more troubling than on my last visit. Specifically I am having trouble with stiffness, trembling in hands and right foot. Typing is a real problem. I get many double strikes and mash double keys all the time now. I have to proof everything I do on the computer. Stiffness bothers me when I am using the mouse. I have to concentrate to get the last couple mm of movement to click a check mark, etc. Stress and tedious work seem to aggravate the symptoms. I have to really watch my step entering or exiting the coach and trailer, I am prone to trip. I try to always have a firm grip on a hand rail on stairs.
Things I am doing: Riding bicycle ten miles or more 4-5 times per week. Walk two miles or more 4-5 times per week, (not necessarily the same days.) Practice guitar an hour or two at a time at least every other day. Combination of memorization work on new songs and flat picking to try to keep my dexterity and rhythm. I periodically do a mental check list to relax my muscles, and to set my face in a smile, (as in every few minutes.) I maintain consistent sleeping schedule and I sleep well and wake up refreshed. I am prone to morning cramps so I kneed my leg and arm muscles in the evening as I prepare for sleep. It seems to help. I play one round each on four Microsoft games about once per day to maintain my finger-mouse dexterity.
