thinking about the monastery
I am thinking about the monastery again. Kind of on an emotional 'high tide' right now.
I am drawn to it - because there is a lot of regularity and predictability. A life living in community
but also of shared time and caretaking and integrity.
I find myself not so great at directing my life and I am not saying I am giving up - I am just
kind of projecting that I might enjoy a kind of peacefulness about living in a way that is
about support to the community and to myself as well.
Just thoughts. Peace, Namaste and good wishes,
Mark

Developing the "Safe Place" theory within my Mud Caves and a few of the less developed "Safe Places" helped me come to a truer understanding of what was missing from my life and find ways to bring some of those small, subtle ways to bring the Mud Cave ideals to my daily life.
I'd still rather find my real world mud caves, if you happen to have the address. . . Maybe around the next bend. . .
Thanks Arfie. (Hug)
I think if I were to go, I have to face the idea that there would be bad nights of emotional torture, but then
again the commitment to something like this might really be :-)
In developing your monastic ponderings into a psychotheraputic "Safe Place," such realities are irrelevant. The fact that my mud caves, much less its phosphorescent roots and benign citizens don't really exist only frees my truest, strictly personal wishes, desires and needs to perk deeper into my personal psyche to find my true, strictly personal center. From there I can find the little things which I can bring back to reality after I have calmed the psychoses (pl).
At least, that's my theory and I'm sticking to ^it^. It works if I work it and I am worth it.
