thinking about me being here, at St. Nina’s

Perhaps people live here
Because they have such wounds and damage from life that a quiet, contemplative and routine life carries them through life in the most comfortable best way possible?
How people deal with their pain is something on my mind to look at as an evaluation.

I’m praying for a return of my sense of humor.

I’m seeing how we each make our lives. Rather than put myself in a mental health facility, I’m seeing I am fortunate to have landed and put myself here.

i've been thinking extra about my yearnings for vows of poverty and cloistered life. i still yearn for them often. how often have i spoken of my wish to trade my quasi-traditional family life for your bachelor life? i'm still wishing that often, father questionarius. is that craving because of my damaged and still wounded soul? is that same damage why i chose to go for the quasi-traditional family? or was i just letting god lead the dance? simply following the path god put my feet on?

dunno. . . i'll get back to you after the delivery of the certainty i ordered over the internet. that frickin' gadget BETTER come with decent assembly instructions! ! !

You have built a life you could.
That’s something to be very proud of.
I could not seem to be able to create a family with my life. But I am here now and I’m finding safety and happiness.
You don’t need to judge your motives for wanting to join a religious community. Everyone has their own reasons for coming. You would have to leave your family. I would not be able to do that.

i can't seem to avoid family any better than you have been able to build one, father questionarius. god's will struck me as especially adamant in insisting i drop the retirement version of monastic yearnings and do this second family.

seems to me that i can fight god's will to my heart's content or i can focus my energy on working with the gnarly old dickhead's (g.o.d.) plan, whether i understand that plan or knot. hey, g.o.d.,!!!! can i see what's behind door number three?
