I sat on the floor this morning and I thought about something. Depression and anxiety are called mental illnesses but these illnesses aren't like your typical cough and cold illness. 

When you are sick, you take medication and rest it out. You don't push yourself so you don't wear yourself out. You are told to take care of yourself and you'll be better in a few days. With depression, you can take meds, but they don't always make you feel better. You are told to not stay in bed all day, you have to push yourself to do things during the day but you are still worn out. You even have to convince yourself to take care of yourself but this lasts for life.
