Today I am going to try to get on the right track. I am starting to realize how much life I am missing out on. Since I have congestive heart failure, the longer I stay fat, the less time on earth I have to have a life. It's absolutely ridiculous to keep eating myself into the grave. I am down 7 lbs this week, so I just need to keep it going. I hope some of you out there will pray with and for me that food will lose it's hold on me and I will be able to regain my life. I sometimes, well often, start out with great intentions that fall by the wayside. I will do my best to not let this happen this time.

Great job on losing 7 lbs! That\'s awesome! You can keep this going. Always have a plan, that way bad habits are less likely to sneak back in. My nutritionist always had me preplan my daily meals, and holidays/occasions ahead of time. Always stock the cupboards smartly. What got me through was knowing if I didn\'t buy it, I couldn\'t eat it. And sometimes that even meant the whole family. Keep up the great work!!!
Hi Missina! Sorry to hear about the congestive heart failure....and I can relate to your frustration at eating yourself into the grave. I have diabetes and continuing to eat the way I have been is just plain suicide.
Overeating is an addiction to me, just as bad as if I were addicted to drugs. It is destroying my life. It is harder to quit than drugs, though, because we can\'t go cold turkey on food. We have to eat, but we have to eat less to stay healthy.
Today I am starting my health plan, and my goal is to stay conscious and not lapse into denial about my overeating any more.
Congrats on the 7 lbs! That truly is awesome!
Today I am going out to stock my cupboards wisely, like callie suggested.
My thoughts and prayers are with you as you work to fight overeating and regain your health. Hope you will send some my way as well.
Hugs, Truth
Kudos to you for losing 7 lbs.! It\'s apparent that you realize how serious your health condition is, and I have no doubt that with the help of these great people on this site, you will find the strength and determination to make it this time.
I, too, share the addiction, and it is truly a monster. But finally, with this surgery and many prayers, I believe I will finally be able to tame it. The safety and comfort of this site will be invaluable to me, I\'m certain!
Since I am 1 week away from surgery, I have cleaned out my kitchen and refrig and am following callie\'s counsel and am stocking my cupboards wisely. Definitely stacking the deck in my favor!
I will keep you in my prayers as you continue to struggle. Don\'t give up! YOU ARE WORTH IT! ( A bit corny, oh so true!)
