things is good
Went to work this morning, came home and had my lunch, then dressed, then went out for
coffee. I'm home now. Just finished my coffee and Blue is lying on the bannister with a view
of all the birds, eating the seeds I put out, on my balcony. He chatters sometimes while watching,
especially when there is a squirrel out there..
Anyways - I think I'm going to go to the park for a walk in a little bit.
Not much going on today and that's ok. Time to fill up the time with things.

my therapist talked about making goals for myself in the aspect of not looking at it a self depravation practice
to achieve a big goal but to look at it like you're taking the opportunity to bring more joy into my life.
The idea helped. I was about to go for the walk today - and I realized for me it was a big anxious making idea.
I then thought about it as an idea of bringing more joy into my life - you know? I love going to the park and there's no
need for me to think about it in a huge momentous framework - it just is a little bit of joy to add to my life - and indeed
it did! :-) tired but good!
I love the joy connection. Going for those small and simple joys has enriched my life more than I have words to say.
A game which has been popular in several of my support groups through the years is, "Secret Samaritan." The goal of the game is to perform a minimum of one good deed a day for other people without getting busted. The good deed can be as simple as righting a trash can which was blown or knocked over to ? ? ? the sky is the limit. Get creative. If anyone witnesses your good deed, it doesn't count. Ya gots to do another to stay in the game. No witnesses.
Hm-m-m-m-m. . . Would leaving bird seed to provide top shelf entertainment for a traumatized cat in recovery count as a good deed? All the little animals need us at least as much as the homo sapiens who can't keep up their trash cans.
