Things improving again, but dreading the pendulum swing

So things have improved again for me. My wife is talking about canceling the separation again. I won't ever rest on that,  though. I have to admit, I'm working so hard on saving and repairing this marriage that I haven't stopped to realize I may have a hard time building trust in her feelings for me. Oh how I want to feel secure after all this fear and pain! Will I feel trust? I don't know, because right now I'm operating on faith exclusively.  I definitely want to.

Anyway,  things are improving and I feel some relief and a boost of hope. It is only natural considering the recent history for me to worry the pendulum will swing back the other way again,  soon. I pray not.

I am praying for you. I know all to well of the pendulum swing and I hope that you can avoid that. Even if you have minor setbacks you are still making positive gains in the right direction. 2 steps forward, one step back....you are still moving in the right direction. I wish you the best!! Keep us informed. It still gives me hope and even a little hope feels good sometimes.

My wife just told me the separation will not happen because she is so happy with us now. She acknowledges she has issues to work out but she wants to do that together.

I am so happy and so relieved, but I\'m not acting it as much as I should. I\'m actually a little teary and emotional like I\'m sad or something. I guess I\'m a little bit \"broken\" myself. Healing is needed. Even though I am happy and relieved I don\'t feel safe or secure. Hopefully that will come. I mentioned to her that as long as I know a good day will follow, I can make it through her bad days. She said it happened that way this week. She didn\'t realize I wanted her to tell me that no matter what happens on a bad day we both need to be confident the good days will follow. I guess we aren\'t there yet. It is progress, though. I\'m going to be around this place for a while for sure.
