things are good, feeling heartened

I was perplexed at first when waking up this morning and it hit me that I must have

drank too much Port last night and I think that just made me queazy and needing some

extra sleep. I woke really slowly though and got up late for me 730am or so!

I shaved, showered and dressed though and went to Starbucks.

I came home and just felt this really impactful and grateful sense of rationality about things..

I had urges to 'do' but I gave myself the honest perspective where I realized that I want to explore life like a child

again and I realized that adulthood, responsibility and exploration don't have to be exclusive of that -

but I can make time for that - to explore life

and still take care of my responsibilities.

The understanding helped me just go about my morning without a sense of being at a loss or

confused or deprived ... and though I felt a little depressed at times

I thought sometimes we all might feel depressed about our lives..for sure...

but we have to rise above the water line so to speak

and give ourselves a little new direction - and little new perspective....

for me...right now it's a second cup of Starbucks, and attention giving to Blue and taking time to

share these kind of ideas and experience on my journal. All my chores around the apartment

are done for now...

So I am just making my day right. Did the dishes, made the bed, went to Starbucks a second time

and pretty soon I'll drive up to Ojai to visit with my older brother for lunch.

Things are good, feeling heartened about life.

Sending positive boogie!

just back from lunch. The drive and this morning are warping my mind - not in a good way.... I think I just need to wind down from the hour drive up there and back.

My great uncle in france who was an excellent cook used to prepare elaborate meals that would last for 3 or 4 hours, and they would start the meal with Port wine and fresh cantaloupe to cleanse the pallet. I’m not fancy enough for that jumbo meal ritual here but I remember port wine being really strong! In any case, next time try it with cantaloupe. Or however it’s spelled.

It’s Monday. Rest your mind and go easy on yourself today. The last time I was at a bar, a loooong time ago, with some old friends I grew up with, we were catching up and came to the conclusion it’s good to be childlike. But not good to be childish. There was a funnier part to the story but I l’asystolie think it’s good to approach life with curiosity of a child but inclusive of wisdôm accrued through life experience.

Have a good nite Markus!
