Things are good
being here at the monastery really turns you inside out....there seems
so much focus on controlling the passions, and your self awareness of the passions
that ultimately I've become really reactive and noticing how my inner gremlin
is churning away at thoughts, ideas, anger, grumbling and dark thoughts.
But in so far as what Jesus does for us - he is an 'other' to focus on and rely on.
He's a peaceful agent who is a spirit and being and fore, we bring things to and have be our foil in comparison
to our passionate natures. The sisters here are great - and yet because we live together
24/7 I can't always be in the social flow of the day with them like I may have been in the outside world.
It's different here and most everyone is focused on the razor's edge of their passions
as well as their work and responsibilities. My talent is for bringing positive vibes
for people but again I have to be able to manage that it is not to be expected from
everyone here. The Eldress has encouraged me to be a greeter for folks and social spirit.
Christ is my foil, my reassurance and my benchmark.
So life turns you inside out here - but then orients you to a peaceful fortitude.
