things are good
I slept in today and I got dressed and ready to go down
to catch the last portion of the mass.
It seemed I made a mental wrong turn
at some point - but I didn't chase it down a rabbit hole.
I just kind of realized that most people are just buoyant and
happy - and that I needed to support and encourage myself
to keep on keeping on and not believe any of the
naysaying or darkness tempt me to churn away
at.
Things are good, I go to work soon.

I’m at work, waiting for it to start. I’m thinking about my relationship to god. I’m thinking about the power it has to comfort me at times and then I’m thinking about my own self responsibility. The need to muscle through and fight for things in my life. I’m thinking about how I don’t pursue something greater than working in the bakery for a grocery store. I then too am thinking about my cowardice perhaps. My illness too. Ultimately I’m thinking as well at my own reaction to things that aren’t perfect or just so. It could be the artist side of myself wanting to create an expression, so maybe that’s a filter I can look at (and question and mitigate) when approaching the idea of a new life.
I wrote all this much earlier today - it wouldn't post for some reason - so it's old news at this point.
Work was long and hard - grocery store work is tough -
you bad-mouthing my grandmother, bubba? she worked in a bakery all her life, ending in a bakery of her own. you calling my grandma an underachiever? watch your mouth, bubba! ! !
what's wrong with being a baker?
personally, i file those mental wrong turns with farts, burps and rude drivers. they happen. no sense to letting them spoil the day.
Thanks Arfie!
