there's something to this

I heard a young man, well maybe middle aged, but younger than me



start to talk about his issues. He definitely was trying not to linger in the past



and suffer (suffer from - the way things were, things that could've been, should have been or ought to be) the questioning of it in an unending loop  - but instead he talked making a choice about how we suffer that day


about finding goals



and 'suffering toward' creating lives for ourselves and with the people we love and with things and causes we care about...goals.. I started to think about my own passivity at times



and yes labile and confusing sense of self - but I found this comment



by this guy inspiring....'suffering toward’ in the determination and the achievement



of your goals. I just thought it a different take.


If it's not holding onto the suffering but instead having the idea or awareness that at least shows you the choice


you are making.
