The parts are in. The rental car is arranged. Tiggy is formally scheduled to start work on Monday. Estimated time in shop: 3 to 5 days.
This has been a comparitively busy week. Comparing it only to the current demographics, it has been downright hectic. Compared to 1992 when . . . see previous entries . . . Compared to 1992, I am on vacation, but fast-forward a decade or so to the lonely echo chamber I currently call a life and. . . Busy, busy, busy. . . Where's my blood-pressure pill? Can I have my total isolation back now?
Among the red-letter events of the week is bringing the Breach of Contract fiasco in the River Region a step closer to closure. The lawyer who is handling that legal waltz for me has brought ^it^ as far as I care to go with through the legal system. I don't even care to know the name of all those sub-^its^. I have filed her translations. I know precisely where to find the data, if needed.
The most valuable items lost in that robbery were the river dreams which were hauled away with the Breach of Contract debris pile. Are they worth rescuing? That amazing inland delta eco-system is still there. The next annual snow crests will begin falling in the sub-arctic regions in a few weeks. I'll bet even the most rugged of my most beloved polar bears are already reaching for heavier sweaters. I still more or less remember a few of the higest potential spots for The Crest Parties. The field samples which were fantasized for the aeroponics lab and rooftop garden? Not this week. . .
Hubs and GS are bringing another potential beekeeper with them today. This is B, the special needs son of one of Hubby's co-workers. B began studying bees with Hubs while he was still in High School. It was the instability of B's life which interrupted the study. According to gossip sources, he remains intensely interested. I haven't seen B since he went to live with his mother in the Eastern Seaboard region soon after he graduated HS. Was that 2 or 4 years ago? However long ago it was, I find myself quite excited that he is coming. I've missed him. He seemed as interested in the chickens as he was in the bees.

I hope you have fun and a good reunion with "B".
Grazie Mark.
Enjoy getting back to your bees Arf……. I haven't heard about your rooster(s)? in a long time ….. Do you still have some wild wicked birds??
Have a great trip sweetie...… big hug...….xo
Nope, nope to my bees. The acquired bee allergy has yet be assimilated and the spousal politics are still confusing the intelligence out of me. I'm shooting to be supportive from a safe distance. Some days I think it is working.
The last of the chickens died while I was on my funeral pilgrimage. 2-4 years is an average lifespan for chickens. Chickens don't need allot of care but they take more than the other Homestead members were able to give. I seem to dislike Austin more with every time I have to go there. It has been a very long time since I've *wanted* to go there. I still miss my feather babies, but still don't feel stable enough to commit to them outside the Mom's hobby plan. Which HR Department can Moms petition for their retirement plan? I want my Gold Watch!!
Sigh. . .
Im glad to hear that the fiasco is inching closer to closure and that you are finding enjoyment in the business and the reunion. Triple hugs
