The wrap up (I hope!) of melt down #1

Today is a new day and I am doing better... After much pondering over my melt down I am pretty much convinced it is all in my head. :) My tool will work... if I let it. And I am going to be just fine (which I knew all along).... And I am going to be thinner.... I am not going to be a failure!
Hummm.... I am sure all those who have gone before me already knew this, but thank goodness I too have figured it out as well :) :)
Learning to listen to my body has proven difficult.... Before surgery my cues were so different (Gee I'm stuffed now!).... and now, I'm not sure I even know how to explain it, but I am figuring out when to stop eating because of the feeling I have in my middle. And the feeling lasts quite awhile. Also, if I eat too much, I burp like crazy!
I also do believe the denser foods gives me the full feeling in my middle much quicker, and lasts longer than those smother, slider foods. Not that I doubted this before, I guess its just reassuring that it works for me too.

I\'m glad you are feeling better. It\'s all a learning process....which I\'m sure I will find out in a month. :)

Becca, I wasn\'t able to determine what the \"full\" feelin was until like 2 months post. It just takes time a conscious listening to your new body signals. I think our guts are also still numb from surgery. Just my non-professional hypothesis :)
