The worst panic attack ever!

I'm sitting here on the floor of my new house typing, which is very uncomfortalbe. I don't have my computer table here, yet. The first couple of days here were great, until Frank got sick again and went into the hospital. My first night here alone turned out awful. I had such a bad panic attack to the point where I wonder if it was really a panic attack at all. I got home from the hospital, turned some music on and was o.k. I guess I started thinking wrong, worrying that I might have a pa, I don't remember. I felt the attack come on and I had the usual heart pounding, shaking and sweating as usual but it was so intense. I started having scary thoughts that I might go crazy. Then I thought my heart was going to jump out of my chest. I got so scared I thought about going back to my old house and sleeping on the floor. I actually got my purse to leave and realized that was silly. I knew hospital visiting hours were over so I couldn't go be with Frank. I started just walking up and down the hall and around the kitchen trying to walk the energy off. I turned on Christian music and sat down and read my Bible. It called me for a minute but the panic kept welling up and going away, welling up and going away. I considered calling 911 and tried to tell myself it was just a panic attack and it would eventually pass. I took on of my Xanax, which I take only when I absolutely need it. It helped some but not completely. I layed down on the couch and that's when the horrible shaking started. It was almost like I was going into a convulsion. I jerked and shook so bad. This all seemed to go on forever. I finally went to the bed to lay down. I was so scared I didn't even get undressed for bed just in case I needed to call 911 or leave. I fell asleep around 5 A.M. It was the worst thing I think I've ever experienced. I went to my phsychologist the next day and he assured me it was just a panic attack but it was so awful. To anyone reading this journal entry........Have you ever had a panic attack this bad? Let me know so I can be reassured.

Now KC you know that I have several times. I might add I wasn\'t surprised that you had one that bad. With the moving and all the trouble with frank that was/is a lot of stress. then add to that your own minor health problems, not getting enough proper sleep and eating right I am not at all surprised. Matter of fact I\'m trying to ward them off myself with all the stress I\'m having over Toby\'s eye which is not getting better but worse. Off to the vets again tomorrow. Calm down and get on a regular scheduel of xanax everyday for a week or two or untill things get back to normal then cut back and go off of them.
