the woe woefulness is back
my sense of woe is back this afternoon, I don't know how people do it -
but I have to just resolve to make my time here at home pleasant for myself
and Blue. At times it feels as though I can't have a personal life - but that's not true..
I know I can make my life as I like it - give myself the permission to make my life as I'd like it
but also know (and don't forget) that I live in community - complex and real - with others...
it can't be perfect all the time - so that's what I am going to do - just focus on my life here
and now and make it as I would like it - I really wish I had some more beer or maybe some peppermint
tea to cozy up with on the couch and just relax a bit.
Sending good vibes out there :-) :-) and a little fish <"}}}}}}><

Hey friend, I just logged in time to see this. I just got back from a walk and treated myself to a mocha KitKat. Omg those are so good! Sometimes the little things make me appreciate what exists in the here and now.
Do you have a friend you could call or text? I have been in text correspondences with old friends and it’s a nice way to keep connected without the stressors of life. Just checking in on each other.
I certainly get complexity and it’s no fun when you feel like I’m you’re stuck in its nucleus, if that makes sense.
What will be your plan of action for tonight? Make some tea and maybe watch a movie? I always love the movie Smoke Signals. I dunno - takes my mind off the complexities of the other world when I need that sort of thing. There’s a sense of staying strong and resilient that serves as a model for me when I need it.
Sending hugs.
thanks Nikki! I had a bowl of raison bran granola with oatmilk and turned on Downton Abbey.
Just relaxing now - plan of action for tonight is to just watch PBS and play with Blue.
Have a good night! Tomorrow have to get up early to go get coffee and then do a few deliveries
for my parents' business! Have a good night Nikki!!!!
You too Markus. Have a good night and great start to the week. Get a good nights sleep tonight.
thanks Nikki!
Twinkle your toes! You're doing an awesome job of working in all the ways you are to help you!
thanks Mid! Have a great night and a good night's sleep!
I figure anybody who tells me they never feel woeful is either lying (denial is where we lie to ourselves) or to stupid for awareness.
When I validate my sadness and go where it takes me, I often make surprising discoveries. Take a risk. Feel the feeling. It's part of who and what you are.
Thanks so much Arfie. I’ve so often felt that I was alone in that and I appreciate the reminder that I am not. My therapist also has mentioned that our feelings deliver important information so it’s good acknowledging stuff
Accepting the full human spectrum of emotions as equally valid has gone a long way toward helping me resist the urge to judge them good or bad. They are what they are, however I choose to judge them. For sure, the more time I spend swinging my judge's gavel, the less I am able to appreciate all of me.
Trust the flow.
thanks arfie!
