The weekend . . .

Well here we are again - Sat & Sun.  Things are getting a lot easier.  Certain things remind me of getting ready to go out and gamble - except I'm going out to other places.  This morning I brought my dog for grooming and then have an appointment for a massage at a new little spa near my house.  Now in the old days I would never spend the money on myself since the money had to be in my purse to make the "deposit" at the casinos.  However, I feel like I can now be "kinder" to me.  I've even bought some new clothes and jewelry, got a new hairstyle when I went to AZ and people are looking at me and saying wow.  It's really weird, but I am now coming to the realization of how I had neglected simple pleasures and normal things since my money was going elsewhere.  Anyway . . . rambling on.  I hope everyone is having a nice weekend - the weather here in Southern CA is just gorgeous right now; 70 ish, clear, sunny, and wonderful.  I hope it is like this next weekend since my brother (who I am very close to) is coming for a visit from Connecticut, where we grew up.  He is not fond of hot weather, so hopefully it remains cool.  He's bringing a new girlfriend and I"m looking forward to meeting her.  He was married for many many years and then all of a sudden cast out into the dating scene. :] Not fun for him; he was very depressed for a long time, but seems to like this person a lot.  I told him since they are arriving on Halloween I'll show up in my cat costume (which I wear pretty much every year).  He said - you probably will!!!! He knows how crazy I am - I said I just want to make a good impression on Kathy. :] Have a wonderful weekend, signing out,Smokeygirl - just for today I will not gamble!!
