the weather here is beautiful
The weather could not be better!… sunny, mild and refreshing breezes! Just got home from work! Got the radio on and opened the window for Blue! I was doing the compost duty out by the chicken coop and just marveling at god’s creation, specifically the Guinea fowl. Such simple and odd looking birds. All god’s experiments of different life forms…came to mind…just amazing!

What a beautifully haunting rendition of Sound of Silence.
My sister shared a poem today from one of her favorite authors, Mary Oliver, and your post reminds me of it. :) "Oliver invites the reader to listen to what the world tells us, contrasting and comparing us with wild geese, who fly alone yet in an inclusive form, honking to keep in contact with each other in flight, connected in the 'family of things.'"
Wild Geese
You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.
Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting –
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.
