The Wave...
I have come to realize that when I did say I was feeling much like a yo-yo--- one minute up, the next headed down it is far more common with many of us. (or at least it seems that way to me) In the past week or soI have been to a very dark, low point I have not been to for a very long time (and hope not to get too close to again)
Once again, I poured out my heart and soul (so sorry about that) and many of you did reach out with hugs, prayers and words of encouragement. I do thank you for that. And now I notice that it is others here who are struggling with their "bad patch". I do hope and pray that they too may reach out.
I do want to reach out to those now struggling. Believe it or not--- that extending a hand and grabbing someone else out of that dark, empty, lonely place helps me to feel better as well as you . There is something about caring and helping another that does benefit us all. So now when I think of the ride of our lives--- I think of the wave-- where some rise while others sink back down. (Here's to keeping that alive. )
I may be no rocket scientist or anyone's Mom or some super stacked CEO --- but one thing I can do is talk to-- listen and reach out to others since I know just how much we all need that. I do believe it is the reason God did put us all here. to reach out, help and love one another--- I just wish that everyone did.

Wise and beautiful words Kim!
Hugs my friend. You are right about that. Remember that you are special and will always be. As for being alone, learn to be your own best friend. It took me years but I did it, so can you. Put yourself first and foremost. If we do not look after ourselves, we cannot look after others.
I’m sorry that you hit a dark place but I’m happy to hear you are doing better.
I want to thank you for reaching out to me and helping me during my rough patch. You are a kind and caring person and I appreciate you.
I agree with you that helping others not only helps them but helps you as well. It’s a good feeling to know that you can be there for someone to talk or listen when needed. I hope people know I am approachable and there when they need a friend.
Hugs
Kim
Just reading a book by the Dalai Lama where he reminds us that we all want happiness and don’t want to suffer. Puts us all in the same boat so simply. His teaching is the only way to lasting happiness is developing compassion for ourselves and others. Just like you are saying Kim. In India they would call you ma even though you don’t have kids. Ram Dass says we are here to walk each other home. I like that. Oh, the other thing ; no sorrys.
I like that quite also!
hey sorry you hit the black hole.....I am sort of whirling around one myself getting this house on target for move in here....I am busy but the dark is that the things will never be right.....I do not know why I am persistent pessimist but that is me....hugs
But we've gotta look for the good and that light at the end of the tunnel. We can't stop believing it is there. Hugs back at ya.
I agree, Veggie. Somehow we have to look for that light or just trust it’s there.
I find if I focus less on myself when I’m down on myself and more on others, it kind of helps me over that hump.
Service to others is a very universal thing. I think sometimes we think serving others has to be this big gesture, like donating money, or volunteering somewhere which can feel overwhelming in and of itself, but it can also be very simple, like just listening to someone, or reaching out to someone and saying, I’m thinking of you today. I honestly think doing those kinds of things creates peace within in ourselves.
We can be the light we seek. I really believe that.
I really believe that having dark and light within us is all a part of being human.. Reaching out and helping others is our ticket back home and the way to get rid of the dark is to make peace with it and shine the Light of Love on it...only then will it be transformed.
Just my thoughts
It is so very nice to see and know that so many others do also see this too. Today was a busy day at work and the boss had the late shift so I did open. There's all sorts of things going on and when he came in he was in rare form (not at us but because there was all sorts of extra crap going on. This is the germophobic, OCD who does suffer from anxiety so all was compounded)
Julie (our young Mennonite coworker ) saw this right away and stuck close and she and I started the table changes out front. He did come out and start some too... still spinning his wheels-- eventually he did calm down. It was good for us to distance ourselves and definitely helped us both to avoid getting all negative and stressed out.
Later I would spend way too much time on the phone with several older customers who did need quite abit of information and guidance choosing their baskets and party trays . But all was good. Felt good to be able to help them out as well as several throughout the store searching for their items on their list. Silly little stuff maybe--- but nice to be appreciated.
