the vanity of my understandings might not sustain me

but my belief in god will.

I thought about tonight, as I was driving home from Pennsylvania, that I was constantly in search

of better form of myself - a stable form of myself. I realized we all make mistakes and for that

those who behave and react as if they don't - with harshness and bombast when someone else

does, really is a litmus test for me for 'trying my patience and tolerance' for accepting that kind of behavior.

But I realized also in this pursuit of a better, constant and reliable sense of self that we all choose a narrative

in life to guide us or to follow through with and reinforce out lives. Whether it's religion, or nobility,

or some kind of personal mythology. It's just what people do to give some understanding.

I get it. I have to hit the sack. I wake at 330am tomorrow.

peace, good vibes and mojo

"the vanity of my understanding"
hmmmm. . . methinks i'm going to be chewing on that one for a while while applauding the continuation that it will not sustain me, but god's love will. insert beatle's tune here. "all you need is love."

begging permission to be excused from the royal we attempting to devise a narrative to guide a life. i tried that a few times at the suggestion of respected teachers, etc. god's will is better. just believing. . . proof irrelevant.
