the truth
I've been thinking about the idea of truth this afternoon.
I know with my time at home or with others I tend to try
and live with a sense of truth. It's really about living in a perspective
respecting the relationship.
Whether it is going to the monastery, or talking with my friend there
or going to mass or talking with you guys.
It seems that the idea of truth maybe what is we generally agree upon as well.
So like I look at my Dad and Stepmom and I see how they live in an
understanding and agreement for what they want, for what they're going for
or doing and how things are handled. They know who each other is and they know
what common goal and survival they have.
I wish I had that and someday will.
I also see my friend JGi who so relentlessly 'lives her own truth' of life...
She's smart as a whip and successful and a really warm and sensitive and lovely person.
She and her husband live in a common aggreement about who each other is and what they want etc..
I do feel alone right now, but not entirely alone. I called my Dad and shared my thoughts
with him. He's so great how he listens to my stuff.
I'd like to go to the local church for a mass, and yet I don't know if there's
a mass of any kind tonight. I'll see if the other church has it going tonight.
I know church isn't for everybody. I find myself kind of aware of certain things
about it that it's there for in both a spiritual and pragmatic sense.
My friend the Abbess wrote to me today asking "What is freedom?" "what (who) is truth?"
She was telling me what she struggles with or the question she lives with.
I kind of get how I would like to handle things in my life versus another's choice of
how they might want to handle things. I don't know if focusing on these thoughts
right now are the best use of my time. It's a kind of navel gazing and rumination
that I go to when alone, a study of truths, which translates to a hard working efficient worker
when I am at work "On the go go go"..
I can't wait to talk to my therapist tomorrow.
I'm going to enjoy the rest of today.
Peace and good vibes to you guys!

i struggle with the concept of "truth," also. i see truth as a multi-faceted gem. shift that gem ever so slightly and the reflections of its facets change radically and every facet in every position is equally true. which right is the rightest of the right? go ahead and start the debate without me.
i shoot for honesty. i can't live by another person's version of THE TRUTH, but i can be honest in how i live by my own, strictly personal truths.
I hear you Arfie! Thanks!!
