The return of the real Matt
I sometimes hate to post good things on here because i don't want anyone to mistake it for bragging . I am not stupid I know things can change for me at any moment and i could be sucked right back into that vortex i was in last year. I pray every single day sometimes multiple times a day that Matt continues to see how much better his life has been the last 9 months since he has not used that evil evil drug called heroin. I have come along way in this fight. I was a trembling mess when i arrived here and today i am so much stronger and wiser thanks mostly to all of the people on this board who have supported me on my journey but mostly i am thankful for Deematt Kim cardinal Blue violet Kim palmer and Katrinka ( i still feel bad about the misunderstanding with her) but hope she knows i do value her opinion and she has been there for me in the past. Anyway as I was saying . I am so grateful for every single day Matt continues to be sober the reason the amount of time is so important to me is because i believe with each day that passes of him not using it is one day closer to his mind becoming clearer. I have seen so much progress with his mind becoming clearer and he really is back to being my old son that i love more than anything he is polite again appreciative again helpful again and happy again. I no longer look at him and see a empty shell of who he once was i now see a clear headed thinking alive person who continues to take steps to move forward in his life. I hope that everyone who is not yet in the place i am gets to reach this point of rebirth of their child spouse loved one etc... I hope some day there is more advances in the medical field that will be able to spare future generations from the true heartache and pain that we all have been through. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for teaching me ways to help my son get to where he is at now i know he has done most of the work but you also have been instrumental in helping me to do what needed to be done at the time to get where we are Today.

Oh, Dee your post made me smile and warmed my heart. Please, Please share this with everyone, it is not bragging it is sharing to all of our memebers that there is hope, always hope. And all of us need to know that out of this darkness can come some light. I remember reading about Blue\'s son, and it gave me such hope and made me believe in Sean. I am so proud of the choice Matt has made, and that he is embracing life and living the life he truly deserves. Dee, it is also because of your love and support and never, ever giving up on him, that has helped him to preserver. We all know the risk, but it is the beautiful shining moments and knowing that out of the darkness can come light. I love you, and I\'m so happy for you and your family. Sleep well tonight.
