The real test...
The real test for my recovery is still to come. Things have been positive the past few days and my wife and I have been excited for our next baby doctor appointment on Wednesday. We had a date night on Friday night. We went to dinner and a movie. A classic date for us! The rest of the weekend and today have been good.
We've had some troubles with my family a bit, but we were both able to keep our cool and discuss the situation rather than get into a big argument that would entice me to lie about everything. Now that everything is starting to turn a corner into a positive light, my real test will be keeping everything on an upward path. That is where I need to make sure that I'm keeping myself in check.
We have our next therapy appointment on the 25th of November and we will be going more regularly after that for a while. I think that this is a great thing for us. It will allow us to work some things out that have been troubling our marriage. We need to have the courage and strength to push through our issues and make sure that we are giving it our all.
