The Rapture

I'm hitting rock bottom ane still going.  My dog passed.  She was my first dog so this is all new to me.  I was there when she parted and do believe she is in heaven.  It's so hard watching my loved ones leave while I'm still here.  I a Christian, a strong believer.  It's how I get through life.
Yesterday strong storms hit the Chicagoland area.  I've never seen anything like it.  Trees were ripped from the ground, windows broken, and power failures throughout.  I was driving in this mess when I saw something remarkable:  It was about 8:00 at night, and lightning lit the sky. I was driving down the express way when I noticed my surroundings looked almost golden.  I looked to the west and the sun was going down.  It was large and blinding as I drove in that direction.  And it was ligtnining at the same time with a light rain.  I felt the power of God so strong that I actually expected to be lifted up to Jesus.  I turned the radio off and observed, feeling totally mesmerized by what Isaw.  As I drove, the rain fell harder, but the sun was still there.  It was large, almost as if it were sitting on the ground.
End time prophesy tells us about earthquakes and rumors of wars.  The rapture is coming soon.

I\"m sorry about your dog. I live 30 minutes southwest of downtown Chicago. Where are you? I noticed the yellowish/orange sky last night. These storms have been so strange. I hope the worst of it is over and we can have a nice summer.

I am from Chicago area also. I remember when my dog died when I was about 24 - I was devastated. I\'m so sorry. Losing a dog is sooo hard - and then at this time. Your life has really been turning upside down lately with so many changes. I\'ll pray that things turn around for you.

Hi,
Ok I just felt like crying with you. I believe that pets are part of my family and that a real loss. I know that my kitten given me such love and support (more then my family does) I wish I could change things. My you have some peace.

Ok you must live not far from me. I live a southwestern suburbs of Chicago. I was driving home from my support group on I80 and saw the sun setting and the rays in the cloud. I though in a way it was my Al reaching for me. I know that wired. Then I came back to reality. I was driving on the edge of the storm
To my right was clear and left was the storm moving to Indiana.
Again my heart goes out to you
Malia.

So sorry to hear about your dog. Chicago weather can be lethal. Two years ago I was there for a wedding and they had a tornado. We drove through the edge of it. I was scared stiff. I do not like chicago this time of year. Hope you have a quiet summer. Jane

I am looking forward to the rapture. What do we have here on earth is nothing compared to what we will have, see and be with in heaven. I can\'t wait to see the one who died for my sins and the one who sent Him. You had a marvelous and glorious experience. Good for you. From Diane

Dear Lord, please open your gates
and call St. Francis
to come escort this beloved companion
across the Rainbow Bridge.

Assign him to a place of honor,
for she has been a faithful servant
and has always done her best to please me.

Bless the hands that send her to you,
for they are doing so in love and compassion,
freeing her from pain and suffering.

Grant me the strength not to dwell on my loss.
Help me remember the details of her life
with the love she has shown me.
And grant me the courage to honor her
by sharing those memories with others.

Let her remember me as well
and let her know that I will always love her.
And when it\'s my time to pass over into your paradise,
please allow her to accompany those
who will bring me home.

Thank you, Lord,
for the gift of his companionship
and for the time we\'ve had together.

And thank you, Lord,
for granting me the strength
to give him to you now.

Amen.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Ron, thanks for posting the Rainbow Bridge. Always brings me to tears but makes me smile at the same time.

I am soo sorry to hear about your dog. It is one of the hardest things we have to do for our pets when the time comes. I also was going to remind you of the rainbow bridge. It has given me much comfort when any of our animals passed. My son and I say when Tom passed he must have been knocked down by all of our animal greeting him!!

I hope things get a little better for you. You have had enough

Hugs, Pat

I\'m very sorry about the loss of your dog. It\'s really piling on you, isn\'t it?

As for the rain falling while the sun shines brilliantly - I always crane my head around opposite the sun looking for a rainbow. Did you get to see one? THAT would have spoken to me along with everything else. Hope your weather is a little tamer this weekend.

Hugs, Gail
