The Pursuit Of Happiness
People wonder, where do I find happiness?I like to think that you cant buy happiness, I belive you cant find happiness in objects .But the pursuit of happiness is a journey ,You find happiness in God,love,acceptance ,understanding,friendships, most importantly self acceptance,being okay with yourself and fully loving who you are and being able to look yourself in the eyes and saying "I love you" is the key that unlocks the door to happiness. There is always a void ,an empty feeling that people get when they are depressed ,they go on an endless search to find it,feeling it up with useless junk,when in all reality they power to change that has been inside them the whole time. Everyone has their own journey in life their own pathway to their happiness ,everyones path is different ,people have to go thru their own deep rooted issues to find their own inner personal happiness ,sure you can be happy for a little while when you get a new car, but it wont be long till you are kicking the car and swearing at it, my point is objects only last for a little while but inner happiness can last a lifetime if you let it.

very nice and uplifting. I agree with you. Thanks so much for sharing.
I know we all long for happiness, and I think so many times we believe if we can just get to a certain point in our lives we will finally be happy. I happen to believe that happiness is found along the way in the little things~~fleeting moments of wonder, a smile, the joy of a giggle, a big orange harvest moon, the first bite of vine-ripened tomato picked moments earlier from the garden.
We collect and carry all of the memories with us on our journey; looking back on our lives we often remember all of the little things~~the reminders of our fleeting moments of happiness.
I love the following e.e. cummings poem because it reminds me of the little moments of happiness.
maggie and milly and molly and may
maggie and milly and molly and may
went down to the beach (to play one day)
and maggie discovered a shell that sang
so sweetly she couldnt remember her troubles,and
milly befriended a stranded star
whose rays five languid fingers were;
and molly was chased by a horrible thing
which raced sideways while blowing bubbles:and
may came home with a smooth round stone
as small as a world and as large as alone.
For whatever we lose(like a you or a me)
its always ourselves we find in the sea
