the needlings

something i don't think i ever corelated was that,

though i have said this before about when I wake in the morning,

is that as I wake I have disturbing needling thoughts; I'm realizing this

now that this also happens when I try to transition to sleep.

It's like the needlings is kind of part of my response to not being in motion

or having a focus or maybe just part of the process of letting go into feeling.

It gets me coming and going lol!

I'll try and be good to myself and find ways to cope! This journal helps!!

Setting a slow down routine, and speed up routine (easiest way I can describe it) from wake to rest and from sleep to rise.

Good work!

awareness of ingrained habits is always my first step toward remediating my habits. all these years into building that awareness, i remain frequently amazed at just how many habits i have without awareness that i am even doing the habitual activity.

old habits die hard and are typically immune to logic. be gentle with yourself and patient with the process.

wondering if it's the 'control issue'....going to sleep is letting go of control and just waking is kind of like a limbo 'before' control?...you've written many times about how you'll feel best when you've made plans for the day or structure when staying at home...
