The Morning After THE DATE :)
It does feel strange just to have a date. He came to pick me up, brought flowers. He got to meet my daughter (who held puppies from attacking him with too much wiggles and lovies - they are still working on greet new people manners) briefly. She said so far her creepdar didn't go off. We had a nice dinner and went to a couple of places on "the strip" here in town for drinks. It was fun. We had fun. There was a lot of laughter. Apparently, I'm pretty darned funny!! Who knew?
We had a good time, even though the crowd out was mostly college kids, we got a laugh over their antics and he laughingly got offended that I was getting hit on and he was getting called "sir". It was actually a bit good for my ego that at least three other guys seriously tried to talk to me - even being out with someone. He is off to NY for a week, but thinks he will be back for work for the company here in a few weeks.
It was all just casual and fun - and actually felt a little weird after all the psychoness from before. He is divorced and has one daughter a year and a month younger than mine. We traded boy horror stories and how no boy is ever good enough for your daughter. He is also wanting to take things slowly. Since he travels constantly with work, it is hard for him to find a woman who is willing to work with the schedule even just to date. It is good for me since I am wanting to move at a snail's pace, so we will see how it goes.
