The Little Victories
It's not always the major victories that count. If we pause and look back on the weight loss journey, it will be filled with small victories that helped us all build a solid foundation. Today, I got pretty hungry in the afternoon. I needed to eat something. I wanted it light, yet filling, without destroying my calorie goal. The only place I had to go was the Spinx gas station across the street from where I work. I walked over and began to search for something. Of course, right there in front, were all the doughnuts, cakes, and such. I found all the different nuts, but they are very high in calories, so I knew I wouldn't get to eat a whole lot. I just kept searching, knowing I'd find something. And so I did! Kellogg's Special K Cracker Chips (Sour Cream and Onion), which are only 110 calories per bag. So, I got two bags. I got more to eat with less calories and fat, and I'm satisfied to the point of not being hungry. It's the little victories that lead to the major goals!
