the importance of work
If I didn't have work, I think I would set to work on myself. Does that make sense? I would find someway to work on myself mentally if I didn't point my sights outwardly on something.
And so I am starting to see and respect how important work is to me and others, everyone really, in their lives. Just recently I heard a quote from Arnold Shwarzeneggar saying something like "There is nothing more important than people's work." I mean that is extreme in a sense but
the sentiment is really ringing true for me.
I am inspired when not on the job to engage my time, to organize it, and produce something. Whether it's going for a walk and taking a snapshot. Or lifting weights to try and build some muscle. Or working on my book.
Work is contextualizing. I feel like it gives me a focus and a healthy confidence and a point of departure.

I miss work.
A good, healthy view of work, Mark.
Sounds like you are trying to find balance Mark. I think the structure of work, getting us to focus on things outside of ourselves, and having human contact helps us so much. I'd say its a human necessity to have those things, even if it is not in paid employment.
Keep expanding yourself when not at work Mark. Sounds like you are doing marvellous things. That balance is so very important x
Thanks everyone!
