the definition or maybe the validation I need

the definition i need or the validation or perhaps the understanding i need.

I noticed that I was seeking something tangible or map worthy of my life

as an artist and an individual for that matter...

I am thinking about this  - and today during service I found myself butting up

against the perfect priest i was supposed to be - and then suddenly I saw myself

as just this flawed participant in service to God - ideals exist - even in religion and yet

we are all missing a few puzzle pieces which makes for our rich, and varied humanity

and communality. Understanding this caught me in a lovely acceptance

and seemed to open the window for me unto a new aspect of my spirituality and relationship

with being here at the monastery. I feel in the company of human kind and compassion. being just as any other flawed person

in the devotion to my service. I went to a Jesuit University - and in some ways I feel - inside -

more Catholic than Orthodox - but why not mix the two as it has been my life experience - who is

to say what orthodoxy is to me - and no one knows my insides like I do. Anyways - things are good.

New day - new territory - will travel!!

I struggle with transitions from activity to activity. This journal really made me aware of it today - I felt able to address what my downward feelings were all about when I went from one task to the next...Life can’t always be fun I thought to myself. But you can try and make it fun for yourself and others along the way. I was in a task working with another who really annoys me. I thought to myself If I find somebody annoying just think somebody else in the group might find me annoying so just get along in the unknowing, be humble and keep on keeping on ;).
