The day’s struggle bears fruit
Just need to find my footing here.
Being away from the system of the monastery, at the system here with the family is the issue. I was watching the series “the Crown” and the structure and focus on meaning in the lives of the royals rang a mental bell for me in its similarity to the monastic life. Just understanding the different places as systems, here and there, is giving me some perspective and steady footing .
I just want someone to relate to and I think that traveling can be unsettling--and seeing families can be hard after a time--don't lose the faith--peace

I’ve never watched The Crown but I hear you regarding systems.
There are so many of them. The strongest of people can figure out ways to manuever and adapt to many of them, but finding the most peaceful ones are where we truly thrive.
Maybe more people than we realize struggle with which systems work best? Dunno.
Thanks Nikki!
"Just understanding the different places as systems," hits my sensory perception as a good definition of humility. i don't get to define the different roles in the system. i only get to decide whether or not to assume the role being offered. nor does accepting the role define me any more than William Moseley is defined by accepting the role of Prince Liam. no, i've never watched the series, but actor names, etc., are readily available via my good buddy, www.
for what it's worth
i see vast differences between humility and humiliation. humility is an internal acceptance. humiliation is an outward act of aggression.
Thanks Arfie!
