The day is passed
I even went to a movie I have not done that for a year, kept my self busy ,kind of stayed numb, pushing on is hard most people just go though the day and it is nothing, for me every thing means something from looking to the sky to eating a meal. WE should not have to fight the day and that what i am working on. Staying positive ,appreciation, loving, I have a lady up stairs that treats me very bad and being nice to her is hard, so it is one of my goals. May every one have good days and lots of love. Until another day.

That\'s great Shirley that you got out and saw a movie and participated in \"life\" activities - even if it did feel it was pushing yourself through the numbness. The important thing is that you did it. You might be surprised to realize just how many people seeing you, would have absolutely know idea what you are going through, and how difficult it was for you to be out and doing what you were doing. Many would see you from the outside, and might say, \"she\'s going through her day so easily, I wish that were the case for me.\" Many of the people you see \"going through the day as it is noting\" may very likely be hurting as deeply as you are. The problem is that our society does not encourage us to be real or authentic with our feelings - and so we pretend and put on masks, and suffer deep within.
Thankfully, we have this group that we don\'t have to pretend and we can be very real and authentic with how we feel, and know that others share our experiences, and won\'t go running from our pain. My prayer is that some day, the rest of the world will catch on, that this kind of support and caring is truly needed - not just in cyber space, but in person.
Bless you Shirley for setting the goal of showing more love to your difficult neighbor. Love is the greatest gift and the most powerful weapon there is - and the only way to bring true peace.
Continued hugs and prayers.
Michael
Wow,,, maybe you can soften her up,,kudos to you for trying....
Hi Love, I\'m so proud of you for participating in life when youd rather just stay inside. Your daughter is smiling down upon you actually she was probably sitting with you at the movies. Yes isnt it something how some people go thru their dy without giving lil things a second thought, when for some of us the mere crust of bread can remind us of something and spasm our hearts. You take that and turn it around and give your love to all and dont give it a second thought . This world could really learn a lot for you. Thanks you for showing your true colors for you make a beautiful rainbow for all of us. ...and for your neighbor lady : Romans 12:21 SAYS Dont be overcome by evil, overcome evil with good. So i will pray that she changes her atitude and shows you the good in her. (((endlesshugs)))your sis Leslie
I am glad you got through the day, Shirley...whenever I felt excessively sad about something I was focusing on I CLUNG like it was a lifesaver, to whatever gave me spiritual support and relief...that Higher Power (for me that is Jesus) that is not subject to time or human condition and who holds the power to RESTORE...cling to the REUNION that awaits you and the knowledge that Denise is fully ALIVE, fully immersed in LOVE, loves you even MORE now that she has full knowledge (that\'s promised us in the Bible) --That kind of thinking/focus/mindset helped me to COUNTER all the negativity that \"loss\" generates, and helped me to have an overall, more balanced way of looking at life and loss. It got easier for me, Shirley...don\'t give up Hope! Hugs of Love, Donna
Shirley, i am so proud of you! Pats on the back to you! I know these days are difficult for you and your handleing them so well. You show me that giving up is not the answer! Thank you! Gods grace be with you my dear friend!
Shirley you are doing so well, and I know how hard it is for you. But you are so amazing my dear friend. It is not easy, but by doing things I think it can really help a lot. Sorry to hear about that lady that is not nice to you, But you are such a lovely person, always remember that. Love and hugs xxx
One day at a time never meant much to me before Kala\'s accident, afterward, it was all I could manage...and some days it was moment to moment. I\'m glad you made it to the movie and actually made it through the movie! I also believe we should not fight the day, but find ways to truly enjoy it...at least something about it. Making nice with someone who isn\'t nice can be very challenging. I\'ve discovered the nicer I am, the more uncomfortable the \"meanie\" is with being negative towards me. With perserverance you may be able to win over the lady upstairs. And even if not, keep smiling and being polite knowing you are doing what is right and cannot control others moods, words or actions. I\'m just so proud of you for all you do, for yourself and for all of us here. Keep on keeping on! Tight hugs, Teri.
