The Dangerous Man

I just finished reading the book "How To Spot a Dangerous Man" by Sandra Brown. I have to say it is the book that has affected me the most except from where I started my journey with "Women Who Love Too Much".
I feel like Ms. Brown was writing directly to me.  Warning me.  Explaining things to me.  Makin sense of what I thus far have been struggling with.  Everything is crystal clear to me now and it fits perfectly with my goal of taking a year off dating.  I don't merely want to.  I see now that I NEED to.
I took the quiz "Am I In Danger of Dating More Dangerous Men?" and I scored 30 out of a possible 34.  Yikes!  How scary is that?  I knew I was dating jerks but how horrible to find out it was much more than that and I have been doing it throughout my whole dating history.  I have NEVER been in a healthy relationship!  Never ever. Not once.
This is my pattern and the only way to change it is to look more deeply into what's behind it.
My favourite guys to date are:  The Emotionally Unavailable Man, The Man with the Hidden LIfe, The Abusive or Violent Man, The Emotional Predator however, is my all-time favourite.
This book really hit home and the information is invaluable. I even wrote something on a little card for my daughter to put in her wallet to remember when to run.  I think EVERY woman should read this book not just those of us who have a history.  It is THAT good.
It gives a good jumping point from which to start some recovery. I like that it is about action and not wallowing.  I have order the workbook that goes with it too.
This was a day of clarity for me because now I have validation that what I am striving for is definitely in my own best interests and will break a pattern that could hurt me in many ways.
