The cat litter tray
ugg I'm on a roll right now.
So the cat litter box situation. I think I just made it worse for me, congrats to my controlling hubby on that.
He found a stray kitten and we've been keeping him in the house. No problem there except I am the only one who clears the crap out of the litter tray, and cleans it and refills it.
I can come home from work and its full of crap and the house has that aroma but hubby seems unable to clean the box out. I dare not say anything because thats considered nagging.
So I dutifully clear out the box when I get home or I clear the crap as soon as the kitten does his business. Whereas hubby just opens the back door to get rid of the major smell, watches the kitten do the business and does nothing else. He's even seen me clear it up.
Maybe in his mind it is womens work to do this.
Anyway I sometimes put the crap in a bag, tie a knot and throw it out the back door to put in the outside bin later when I am heading that way when I have the right shoes on (not slippers etc).
Hubby goes out and smokes on the hour if not every 30mins so he is there on the back door step does his thing and then comes back in side. He has never taken any of the crap bags and put them in the bin.
So I said to him 2 nights ago, in a light tone, why he cant sometimes just grab the bag/s and put in the bin when he goes out. Yep I got told I was nagging.
And then the next time I put a bag out I panicked. Uh oh, I can't leave the bag for him to put in the bin because he may feel I am doing this on purpose, I am being lazy blah blah blah. And I know he will raise it with me at a later date when he goes off on his anger vent and turn it around to being my fault for whatever reason.
So now I have to make sure I take the bag straight out to the bin. Ugggg.
Some of my vents may seem ridiculous but I'm sure I'm not crazy yet and I'm sure its reasonable to expect both people to do the job.
I can't go against him because of what he is like. Not long to go now.
