The Best Pet Ever(right now)
You can't snuggle with him. You may want to reconsider kissing him. But the best pet for me right now is a bird. Used to be that I enjoyed a dog. But my husband is gone so there's no one to share responsibilities. I work 12 hours. No dog could endure that long alone. So sad.
So I have a bird. He's good at spending long hours alone. And I can talk to him without feeling silly. He's learned quite a lot of words since my husband passed as there is no one else to talk to. He's a cheap pet too. Bird seeds last forever and my apartment complex doesn't consider him a pet, so no pet rent.
I guess he's one more thing that says my life is different.

I love birds...had a cockatiel for years...then we had a blue & gold Macaw...She had quite a vocabulary...lol....and she liked to snuggle...and she\'d give kisses...

What kind of bird do you have? I loved having my budgie called Bert. He could mimic up to 60 different phrases. He absolutely loved me. He would sit on my should and yell at my ex-husband in birdie speak. When Lisa was born, he would sit on my shoulder and look at her. I don\'t think Bert knew what to do about the baby. We eventually came him to my
in-laws as we wanted a dog. Bert died of a heart attack a year later. He still remembered me when we went over to visit with them. They have good memories. When someone calls another person a bird brain, it is a complement. Talk to you soon from Diane B.
