The 2ww Madness
So this 2ww feels soooo different than the other 28+ 2ww's that I've had (ugh, its hard to see that number and know we've been trying for that long and that my life has been consumed with IF for the past 2 1/2 years). This is the farthest we've come to getting a BFP and part of me feels like, well of course this will work after all the effort we've put into this, but then the realistic side of me kicks in and I know that really doesn't mean much. I'm excited to find out if we have a BFP, but I'm also terrified it could be a BFN. I bought pregnancy tests for the first time (I am not one to ever POAS, I always wait for my period or bloodtest) but this time I want to POAS for sure. Just not sure when to do it since I can't deal with the mind$%*. Beta is July 5, and my period is due July 4 so I'm not sure when to do it. What's the soonest I can POAS with accurate results? Part of me just wants to enjoy being PUPO (and convince myself this little embie is sticking, implanting and about to grow) and wait as long as possible to POAS. Ugh....this 2ww is hard stuff!!!!

Oh, and I forgot to mention....DH has been wanting to talk names! Which we have been doing and it totally thrills me but scares me. He thinks this time will be \"our time\" and although I\'m so hoping he\'s right, I\'m terrified he\'s not !
I would say hold out as long as possible and wait until the day of or day before your beta to test because if your numbers are low from late implantation etc it could still be light and you do not want to get a false negative just by testing too early. But I know some girls on here have gotten a strong positive 4-5 days before their beta. Try to enjoy being PUPO! Talking baby names would scare me too!
I am soooooo hoping your DH is right! I am like you, not a big POASer. I was always too afraid for the big let down so I would wait until the day of my beta. Are you on PIO shots? If so then no matter what you won\'t bleed until you go off of them. I say wait until the day of beta to POAS, if you do it before it could be a false report and you would hate to be sad for no reason. Plus the pee sticks aren\'t as sensitive as the blood tests so their results aren\'t as accurate. Let us know what you decide to do. I am rooting for you!!!
I\'m taking prometrium (progesterone suppositories) twice a day. I won\'t bleed while taking those?
I am a huge fan of POAS. This pregnancy, I poas (cheap from amazon) a day and it was positive 1 day before a beta of 95... So obviously they work (for me) pretty good. Also, I had to wait for my beta to go down with retained placenta and betas of 40 were showing up on the tests. I say 10-11 days post ovulation (5-6 days post 5 day transfer). I am praying and hoping that this is your time :-) I would hold off as well. I am one of those who got a negative result the night before my Beta and my Beta was positive..... hang in there, fingers and toes crossed!!!!
Right there with ya! I have a stick leftover from the last time I tested, so I\'ll most likely use it. I\'m going to try and wait until the day before my beta. I had to change the appt of my beta to a day later because I have to work the morning they wanted me to come in, so I figure if it\'s gonna be positive, it will be on that day. Good luck to you and sending mucho sticky baby dust your way!!!! This 2ww will be over before we know it, so we should enjoy being PUPO while we can! (and go ahead and talk about names, because it\'s fun, and you deserve to be happy whenever possible!) :)
Crossing my fingers for you! I know how tempting it is to POAS but I say hold out as long as possible. Hang in there!
I aways got my period on time even on the progesterone and mine was 3 times a day (beta day 28 but my cycle is 26). I know a lot of girls that don\'t get AF though.
I\'m the POAS queen. I think with my last BFP I must have done at least 10. I\'ve always been able to test 3 days before beta when I wake up with first response early result. With my last BFP, It gave be a positive on the same day my beta was 9 (I only got a beta because of my BFP). I think I was on CD23. Don\'t test that early. I only did it cause I was going in for IVF and felt pregnant. Try to wait as long as you can.
I\'m sure DH is right, I really have a feeling this is your cycle to get your BFP.

Thinking of you during this next week. The waiting is killer! Pamper yourself during this time...anything to help the waiting be more pleasant and less noticeable...easier said than done I know.

I forced myself to wait until after my beta. Afterwards, I only POAS so I could see the word \"pregnant\" show up in the little window, because I wanted so badly to see what that was like (even though I already knew). Silly, but made it more physically real than a phone call!
I used to wait until beta day, but five IVF\'s later, forget that! I prefer to POAS either the day of beta or the day before. I\'d rather know what the phone call will bring, no surprises! I do know that with a FET, the embies do take a little longer to implant, so if you do decide to POAS, hold out as long as possible. No need to stress yourself out with a possible false negative. Enjoy being PUPO as long as possible! xoxo
