Thanksgiving Morning........

the wind is taking a nap..........it's so quiet out there........cold and quiet.

rio is already requesting breakfast........meowing as he circles my feet......it's only 7:30 am.  already tried a few times to see how my brother is doing this morning.  whew.......waking up is hard to do.

last night the nurse told me that when they opened him up to remove the gallbladder all these stones came tumbling out.  that sounds awful and strange to me........how is Daniel doing?  she reports that he is in ICU, his vital signs are good, he is on the ventilator......hopefully he will be able to breathe on his own this morning.  they say the only person who can update me is the icu nurse.......of course i know she has many responsibilities, her first being in care of her patients like my brother.  but yes i wish someone could see a chart and give me some basic info.........it's hard being far away and not knowing.......time to pray.

i have the cinnamon muffins ready for transport, the bundt cake is glazed and resting in the frig.......it's a triple chocolate sumptuous wonder......got the celery & onion chopped last night.  Grandma's Cornbread Stuffing will come to life in Sparrow Cottage in a little while.........my clothes are laid out.

wearing a pretty lightweight top in fall colors over a black tank, black straight legged jeans, camel colored suede flats......add some earrings, a watch, a necklace......need to see what it's like outside......do i need a winter coat?  a long scarf? gloves?  get my cane out of my car's front seat.........sam is picking me (and the goodies) to go to the Thanksgiving Gathering at his Dad & Stepmom's house ....we break bread at 1:00 pm.

Got my electric roller set waiting on the bathroom counter......I am trying so hard to not have to do everything all at once......I can hear a few early birds chirping..........think the squirrels are all sleeping in........shhhh!

I hope that you have a lovely and blessed Thanksgiving this day!  I can do this.........pray that your day goes well, that you have delicious things to eat......a special day to be thankful for the blessing of life, friendship, family......oh no, just got a quickie note across the top of my computer saying Black Friday is here.  hate that name, black Friday.......who named the day that?  and why?

we should rename it something else......hmmmm, national walk off your turkey feast day?  no clue but something else.....hugs, ruthie
