Thanksgiving.. from this turkey :)

here are some things I am thinking about.

I went to work today and while working I just

didn't feel like a serious person, I didn't feel like

a serious person so much in services either.

With the services there is so much to appreciate and

that sends you into the mystical fairy lands of the mind

and yet it is also work for me - that's what they are trying to teach

me - so you (I) have to get used

to doing the job and it's a huge stretch - of being in grace and spirituality

and yet also is a job -- and then later on I suppose it'll be

second nature and something to get lost in the flow

of it - to a certain extent -

I just thought I am not a serious person -

and I guess being a serious person to me at the time

was meaning that I am someone who would commit

to a job that needs to have some acumen.

Someone who would sign up for a profession

and become expert, be professional and

be a respectable society member -

I was also thinking about what sister Gabrielia said

to me - when I commented on how committed and

how much energy the sisters in the meal prep are and have

and she replied "That's what they want you to see"

Pretty powerful and when I drove back from work today

I just let go. I thought am I showing the image of who I want to be?

Maybe I am just a jokey - fun - not serious persons - but most of the friends

I know and I have met mostly jokey unserious people all my life.

I'm not alone in that???

serious people are important to take seriously the serious situations

of life and apply their acumen and talent and focus

but I guess to a certain extent - we're all human

sorry I guess yet again I take things too far.

Maybe I have to see the ideals someone puts forward -

like some of their qualities are preferable to others -

some qualities are likeable - and most likely not all -

just because I might see some ideals in someone

doesn't mean then I idealize the whole package.

Hope you had a good thanksgiving, Mark!

I must be honest, I don’t always follow everything you write or understand it but it must mean something profound to you to articulate out there. Talking about ideals and such in your last comments, I don’t think that any one human can ever match a ‘fantasy’ person one idealizes in their own mind. I gave up on a perfect person a long time ago, because I know that I am not perfect nor am I trying to be. These days, give me kindness and respect in a fellow human being, sprinkled with empathy and a “good head on one’s shoulders” and I think I can find some satisfaction in that. Who wants to live life unsatisfied all the time? That sounds kind of hellish to me.

There is a lot to be thankful for in life. You are lucky to have the opportunity to afford the experience to try different things in life when so many people live in such stagnated circumstances with little to no growth. Don’t forget your sense of humanity out there in your world.

I hope you find the satisfactions you are seeking in your life. Happy Thanksgiving, Marko.
