Thanksgiving
I hate this time of the year. I know that I should be thankful and I really am for a lot of things, but when everyone is looking at you and expecting you to be thankful for all of these things that you do not care about. All I am thankful for a medication, my friends, and a home to keep me sheltered. But people want me to say "my family, my ipod, electricity, food" the things is, my family does not care about me. I know that they can tell I am very depressed, that I am angry and sad, and they do nothing about it. They treat me like i am just fine, they use things like PMS and stress to brush it all off, but what I really need is for them to look and me and bee 100% concerned. I would be happy and thankful dor them even if they had me commited. But they ignore the pain that is very obvious on my face, the scars on my legs and arms, and the anger boiling inside of me.

Hey girl. I hate the holidays too. I have a lot of anxiety issues and am also a cutter. My parents never really understood me or seemed to be concerned with my mental illness when I was younger. I think the reason parents brush it off is because they honestly don\'t know how to handle it. I use to think my parents just pretended everything was ok because they hated me or were embarrassed of me, etc. But I think some parents react like that because it scares them to death that their child is hurting so bad...some parents, mind you. Anyways, I hope the day gets a little better for you. Also, if you really think you need to be committed, there are ways to do that to where your parents have no say. Just tell another adult, counselor, etc. what\'s going on and that you can\'t stop and trust me, you\'ll most likely get committed that way...if that\'s what you r really wanting. And as far as being thankful, don\'t worry about that shit right now. It\'s hard to be thankful when you are hurting so bad inside. If you ever need to talk, just shoot me a message.
