It is day 5 of my journey and I am going to paraphrase a few lines from my fellow gambling addict eastwester for my entry. Very inspiring words this morning:
Today, I will try to change things. It will be difficult, I know, but I will not surrender to doubt, self-pity, anger, guilt, sadness nor fear. I can do this. Today, I will not gamble. I will take one small step forward. I will not give up. I can do this. Today, I'll move forward, I'll take action, I'll do something positive toward solving the problem. I will change my attitude. I am NOT a loser. I am NOT a victim. I can do this. I am intelligent, resourceful, smart...... I will put as much effort into recovery as I once put into gambling. I am worth it. I can do this. I will not quit. I will never give up. I can do this.
