Thankful for FMO
I'm thankful for FMO and all of you. I have belonged to another parent support group and just had a a post deleted by the moderator because I posted that I had found this website so helpful and supportive and wanted to share it. I was told that the rules don't allow "posting of sites like this because we don't know how members are approved or how posts are monitored and we are concerned about safety." Ah well... I know we are all hurting because of our losses, but I think we are also able to make decisions about whether we choose to access a site posted by someone else.
I understand a policy against solicitation and a prohibition against sharing anyone else's personal information. I don't understand a policy that doesn't allow sharing helpful information that another member could choose to look at or not. I admit my feelings were hurt (and they easily are these days) by being reprimanded (privately) for violating the rules.
I will get off my soapbox now! It just made me grateful for this forum and the freedom to post and share and learn from each other. Thank you for your support and for letting me learn from each of you by being my "friends" and sharing your pain and your joy.

I would have been guilty of the same thing as I am always sharing FMO. How could you have known and I\'m sure it did hurt as you were only trying to share what has been a healing, safe and validating place for you.
I am grateful too for the freedom that we have here and if not for each of you I\'m not sure where I would be on this path?
I can\'t help but wonder if someone didn\'t write the info down and will investigate it at some time? One can only hope and you are a scatterer of seeds my friend and even though it might feel that this time they didn\'t land anywhere I suspect a \"few\" might have. :)
Loving care your way,
XO Joanie
hmmmmm,,, they were worried about FMO,,,,,oh well.... you have us,,,, love ya!!!
I\'m sorry you were hurt~~
I think it\'s wonderful that we all can share the various ways and means by which we\'ve found comfort!! I don\'t agree with everything that is posted within our group, but I am surely grateful we CAN post what helps us. After all, our only desire is to be a support to each other and by sharing information we ARE supporting and helping.
I\'m hopeful JJ is right and someone from the other group will at least check up out.
THANK YOU Barbara Patricia Smith for founding FMO!!!! THANK YOU members of FMO for keeping this a safe place to share it ALL!
Thanks for your support and for FMO and being able to talk freely and share. At least I am past the point of being upset about being censored on the other site and can chuckle when I see the following post from the moderator responding to my post saying goodbye -- \"The link you posted was for an outside forum we did not feel was safe so we did not feel comfortable leaving the post up.\"
Beware fellow SOTHs, this site might be dangerous!
To each his own......I\'m glad you are here......I\'m glad we all are here. :)
I\'m glad you\'ve found a site that suits your style better! I\'m kinda surprised your post got deleted by that moderatorInstead of outright deleting your postI think it would have been better if the moderator just added her \"caution statement\" (really?) after your post about FMO. Oh well. LIfe continues! Love, Donna
